Is stripping an iPhone apart bad?

I was stripping down my iPhone 4s screen for parts to use for another project. I took apart the LCD screen like taking apart each layer the cables wear connected to of the screen. Some screens are original while others are third party. Some friend of mine told me that it's dangerous to get into the phone like that when I touch wet part of the layers. (I figured it was just glue) I know it sounds ridiculous and it's probably fine, but I'm a bit superstitious.

They liquids used in LIQUID Crystal Displays a be poisonous.

You need robber gloves AND a filter mask

Some of the liquid layers in an LCD contain chemicals with a hazard rating of Irritant, Harmful or Toxic. You should avoid contact with the skin, eyes, mouth and open cuts, handle in a well ventilated area. Certain third-party LCDs can also contain mercury which is potentially fatal if ingested.

You are messing with stuff you arent qualified to be messing with. I would be very carefull.

There's a reason why factory workers who assemble these things have protective gear. And they're only assembling them, what more if you're already accessing materials they haven't touched?

And know the difference between "superstitious" and "suspicious." You not knowing the difference gives me an idea that you're not supposed to be doing what you are doing because it's easier to work with English than Electronics.

Just buy a new original screen online Amazon, HCQS

Well if you don't know what you are doing and/or intend to have the phone functional once put back together then yes. Otherwise, it should be ok.
