Is the 5s worth the extra money?
Hi. On tuesday i'm eligible for an upgrade on my phone. I'm going to get an iPhone and have never had one before. I have recently received money which i would like to spend on the 5s as i think it looks like a really good phone. I have a few things i would like to check first though -
1 - Is it worth the money? (I will be paying £100 for it)
2 - What are the new features that mean it is worth more
3 - Can you recommend any good places to get a pretty, durable case to put it in when i get it.
Thanks.
(Can this please not turn into a 'which phone is better' hater conversation because i'm not trying to cause conflict.
My name's Lee and i work in a Tesco Phone Shop, if you are going for a new iPhone then you might as well go for the latest one, you will be future-proof in the beginning since it was only released a couple of weeks ago. I have purchased my girlfriend one on the £46 plan on EE paying £50 for the handset, so the tariffs really aren't cheap. The differences between the iPhone 5 and the 5s really can't be seen on the outside as the actual phone it'self looks and the same form-factor is exactly the same, the iPhone 5s has a thing called a 64 bit architecture. This basically means it will handle tasks with more ease meaning you will have far more functionality over the iPhone 5. They both have the new IOS7 however as the iPhone 5 is now being discontinued this means that Apple will really want to push the iPhone 5s this means that you will have more, constant updates and support from Apple. If you're looking for a durable case i would recommend a case called Otterbox they make durable very good quality cases which you can buy from the on-line retailer Amazon. Or hop to a Tesco Phone Shop which stocks pretty good, cheap cases. To finish it up the iPhone 5s has a finger-print scanner which can be used to buy store purchases and sign in with up to 5 finger-prints. I hope this answers your questions, have fun with your new phone.

Yh I think it is, cause its a really good phone, here are some reviews backing that
- Will using my iPhone's hotspot cost extra money? I have an iPhone 4s (which is up to date on all IOS updates) and I have the unlimited data plan at AT&T. I'm leaving for a road trip tomorrow, and I wanted to turn the hotspot on so I could use that Wi-Fi on my laptop during the trip so I won't get bored. It says I need to set up an account for it, which I will do later… But would any extra charges be added to my bill?
- Is the iphone 5 worth the extra $100 compared to the 4s? Its going to take me at least another 6 months to save up for a 5, and the droid I have now is terribly cracked and barely works. But if its that much better I can wait.
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- Is purchasing the IPhone 5 for an extra 100$ over the 4S worth it? Please tell me your opinion on if the IPhone 5 is worth an extra 100$… OR If I should take that hundred and putit towards the 32GB 4s? Which would you be happier with? I can't decide if 16GB is enough/if the features added to the 5 are worth it… Help!
