Is the Iphone 3GS still a good phone? - 1
Ok, the year for this year is 2013. I will be getting a phone tomorrow. I'm wondering should I get the IPhone 3GS 2nd Hand or the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 first hand? I need all the information that I can get. I don't want to get the wrong phone that I don't really like. So please help me choose and I can think. The Iphone 3GS 2nd Hand is $150-$180 for 16GB. And the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 first hand price has drop till so low that the price is $250. Which one is better? And what is the latest IOS version for Iphone 3GS to update? I need all the answer I can get. My dad will maybe give me $50 or $100 (depends) and my sis will be giving me $100. Which make the money $200. I know that I need $50 more to get the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2, but I can beg for my father to give another $50 to me. I wish you're can help me choose, give me the right answers and the Pros and Cons about Iphone 3GS And Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. Thanks so much ^^. And Iphone 3GS is already a 5 years old phone already. Which is quite old.
3GS is still a good phone, its not the best for running high end games because the hardware is 3-4 years old now, but many still use 3GS. I would go with iphone 4 which is free on a 2 year contract, no reason not to go that route.

Though the 3GS is still a good phone & being updated I think you should at least get the 4. Because the 3GS' last update is expected to be 6.1.3 assuming it is the last iOS 6 update. It would still be able to run the latest apps but of course it would then end up being the 1st of the currently supported iPhones to eventually not be able to do so in the future.
