Is the iPhone 4 the same shape as the iPhone 4S?

I'm soon getting an iPhone 4S and I have found a really nice case that I would like for it when I eventually get it. The case is for an iPhone 4 though, and I'm worried that it won't fit the iPhone 4S.

Same shape yes, however, the volume buttons are just SLIGHTLY different which can cause issues with a few rare cases. Odds are you won't have a problem but it is possible.

Yes, the iPhone 4s is the same size as the older iPhone 4. Both are are 115.2mm Tall, 48.6mm wide and 9.3mm deep. So if your case fit the 4 ok it should also fit the 4s.

There are other differences, as I'm sure you're aware. Most notably is the capacity, the 4 has 8G whereas the 4s has 16GB. The processor is better in the 4s too. The addition of Siri is also something that the 4S offers over the 4.

Yes they are the same size, but a case for the 4S would not work for the 4 because of the slightly repositioned parts on the 4S, the headphone jack, silent switch, volume buttons.

Yes the iPhone 4 and 4S are the same size, same shape. They are just the same outer phone with different internals. Most cases also say "Made for iPhone 4/4S" on them anyways because it's basically the same phone.

You can buy your case in confidence that it will fit your new purchase. I owned both the devices the 4 & the 4s and the cases i owned with the 4 all fit the 4s.
