Why does my head shape look different in mirror and iphone armlengt selfshot?

So when i look in mirror or take selfshot in mirror my head looks fine but when i take picture of myself with iphone my face sudderlap becomes very long you is this while people on facebook posting selfshots look fine i guess

The distance between you and your reflected image is twice that of your arm length.

Simple solution: Don't expect a wide angle lens to do anything but wide angle when held too close.

Cell phones will distort at arm's length simply because your face to camera distance is so short.
