Yes it's a better phone, but weigh up what you need. I doubt many people actually NEED it, compared to what they want! But yes, it's much better.
Friends been telling me that its garbage and it's he same as the 4s but with a bigger screen. I have the s3 and its the best phone I ever had compared to the DROID phones I had.
It's not much better. Other than the larger screen, everything else is pretty much the same. That's why I left Apple. They fell behind compared to what's already out there, so I just got bored.
- Why is the iphone so much better than other smart phones? I'm not trying to start a fight here. It just seems like Apple has access to alien technology or something. I've been trying to help my dad with his Samsung stratosphere and the difference is staggering. Another thing worth noting is that any of my friends who have non iphone smart phones also carry their ipod touches around with them. That says something.

- Why are the colors and resolution on my iPhone so much better than on my laptop? I'm a photographer (and yes, I know I should be editing on a desktop) and when I post photos it seems like the colors are much deeper and the resolution is much more clear on my iPhone than they are where I edit them… On my laptop. Which device is "off"? Will they be closer if I were to edit on a desktop (I'm in the process of saving up for one)?
