Is the LifeProof iPhone case worth the price?

I'm getting an iPhone 4S soon, and I want to get a case to protect it from everyday life. I've been looking into the LifeProof case ($79.99).It looks really great, being shockproof, waterproof, snow-proof, and dirt-proof. But is it worth the price of $80? If not, do you recommend any other case that you think is better for the job than a LifeProof case?

You can try a Pelican case, they are hard cases that get the job done, not waterproof, so you can't take it diving, but they are watertight, just in case you drop it in the water.
