Is the new iPhone 5S case worth $39?

It looks really nice, it looks like it feels comfortable with a nice leathery ness and texture to it.
But is it worth 40$? I feel like it should be cheaper but i want one. I have a White iphone5, i feel like i should get either the Black or the Blue.

Quick answer: No.

Cases should never be worth so much… I mean, why pay for a phone and then pay the same amount for a case? Seems silly… A lot of people are scared about the phone breaking though, so they'll pay any price for a case…
To be honest I use nothing but those cheap silicone cases and wallet cases that I find on eBay and they are the BEST cases I could have ever asked for and they only cost me between $5 to $9!

I've watched my sister buy a case from one of the kiosks in the mall for $20 or a leather wallet case from Apple and then look online and find the SAME case for $3-$5… That's a huge price gap for the same phone…

So I'd suggest shopping online first, the high price might suggest protection but I can atest that cheap cases are just as good, if not BETTER then those insanely overpriced cases that Apple will sell…

(If you need to know why they're so high, just think about it, that price is paying the employee to sell it to you and the store to sell it in… Not the case itself! It's merely a fraction of that! Online venders only have to pay for shipping, that's IT, that's why they're so cheap and just as good!)

Some say that it works amazingly, and some say its the worst case they have ever used. I want my phone to be protected from sand, (since i live near the beach), and be able to handle falls. The waterproof feature seems like just a bonus. Is the camera good? Basically is this a practical phone case for daily life?
