Is it legal to have pokemon on my phone? Like is there a way I could by it from apple or something

I'm not sure if its legal, but Apple has not done anything about this yet.
You can, however, jailbreak your phone to download an emulator from cydia.

You can download an emulator using the link located in the Note section. Take note, follow all their instructions and ensure that you change your date accordingly! This is very important. Then download the gba file and open in Gba4ios, (then here, you can change your date back) and you should be able to start playing.
Just a reminder, should you restart your phone or let it blank out, the app might stop working. All you have to do is change the date once again, open the app, then change the date back and it should work like a charm!
