Is there a remote shutter (for flash umbrellas) for the iPhone?
I'm going to buy a SLR lense for my iPhone 5 (which it is compatible). I'm curious is there a way to have a remote shutter connected to the iphone so when a picture is taken with flash umbrellas, the umbrellas will flash?
Not a radio trigger as far as I'm aware, as they usually require a hotshoe mount. However, quite a few speedlight flashes & studio flash have slave modes, where they will fire if they 'see' another flash going off, so it's possible to trigger them from the flash of an iPhone provided you have line of sight & the distance is not too great or the conditions are such that its too bright (ie outdoors in bright sunlight).
Just out of interest, how on earth do you mount an SLR lens onto an iPhone?
Easy, use a SYK 4 remote sensor on your brolly flash or one for each. No radios nothing, its just a simple light sensitive trigger that fires the brolly flash when it sees the camera flash. Pros have been using them since strobes were invented. It happens so quickly that all the flashes appear simultaneous.
look at this SYK 4 on on ebay: paste in this item number 251261621551 into search. Just a few pounds/bucks
so what's an slr lens for an iphone 5?

I don't know where you're looking these things up but you should stop doing so. One more thing, and this is the weird part to quash them all…
You don't take a picture with an umbrella - flash or whatever kind.
- Why won't my iphone 5s camera shutter goes to silent? I've turned my phone to silent, but the camera shutter still won't go to silent. It makes a really loud sound and when i screenshot something, it also makes a loud sound. How do I turn it to silent without jail breaking? I've been using this Cymera app cause it can take pictures without making a sound but the quality isn't as good as the original camera app.
