Is there anyway to see when someone has read your text message on an iPhone 5?
I have an iPhone 5 and whenever my boyfriend texts me he knows when I've read it or not (that's a whole nother issue… ) and I wanted to know if I could know when someone saw/read a text I sent to them, like he has. How come other phones can do this? Isn't that a privacy issue?
You can only do this if you're using a texting app that uses the Internet - regular texting on the cell network won't provide "read receipts".
On the iPhone 5, the iMessage app *will* do "read receipts" if you text eachother using your email addresses instead of phone numbers.
In your imessage settings just turn off that option and they can't see it anymore, meaning keep imessage on but turn off the read receipt option.
- On the iPhone 4 does it say message read once a person reads your message? You know how it's like "message received at " and then whenever on the iPhone well on the iphone 4 does it say when and if the person read and received the message?
- Is there anyway you can see text messages after you have deleted them? I just got a iphone a couple days ago but before that i just had a basic phone from verizon. Well somehow my parents have seen some text messages that I deleted and I don't know how they can see them and they are personal things i'm talking to my best friend about. Does anyone know how they can see the messages and if they do is there a way I can make it so they can't see them?
- Is there anyway to tell if someone read your text? I have an iPhone but the person I texted doesn't is there anyway to find out if they open the text. I have at & t if that matters 14 minutes ago - 4 days left to answer.
- Is there anyway to tell if someone has read your message or not? I have an IPhone 4S… Sometimes I get "read at 4:30" or something and sometimes it just says delivered… Is there a difference? And can I make so I always know when someone reads it?
