Is this a good time for 2 miles?

So, for the past six practices at soccer, my team and I have been running two miles before the beginning of practice. Today, I decided to record my laps and total time on my iPhone. I also do Track as a sport and although I didn't go all-out, I was wondering if my laps and overall total time was good.

I heard it also depends on age, height and weight to see if your miles are standard or above standard.So, a little about myself: 5 ft; 97 pounds; 14 1/2 years old;

These are my lap times:

Lap 1: 1:43.4
Lap 2: 2:00.0
Lap 3: 2:04.9
Lap 4: 1:50.9
Lap 5: 1:56.5
Lap 6: 2:15.4
Lap 7: 1:40.7
Lap 8: 1:58.7

My Overall Time for 2 miles: 15:31.8 minutes

I feel this is a little slow. But is it good for 2 miles? My best 1 mile run has been 6:34 minutes and I would like to PR. I've also been running this at home for about the same time and amount. I want to increase my 1 mile run down to 5:50 minutes. Any suggestions, tips, etc. That would help me get down to that time? Is 15:30 minutes good for 2 miles according to my age group, height and weight?

Alrightie! Thank you! Best answer will be 10 points and sorry for such long description!

It is alright, very good is 12 but thats alright

For a 14 year old you could go a little faster. My 11 year old little sister can run her to mile in 13 minutes a 14 year old with more developed lungs should be able to beat that. I recommend doing 30/60's jog for 30 seconds and then sprint for 60 seconds then jog and then sprint this will build your cardiovascular endurance and will get you where you want to be running wise in about a month. I used to play socceer and the 30/60 drills helped me immensly. I'm in the Army and we do 30/60's all the time.

Healthier stronger and faster whith this method.change your position of sleeping always from east west alternatively each month. This stimulates the nervous system of the body. Do not use magnets near your body like computer or those to listen music or talking telephone.use hands free. I myself am running 16 per cent better since less than one year doing this. I also sleep better and i feel less hungry.

  • Should I walk 2 miles to school? My school doesn't offer buses and my mom works night shift she told me she won't make it in the morning… I have my iphone with me for directions and google maps said it was 40 minute walk… Should i do it? I'm in middle school (8th grade) and my school starts at 8:20am… I'm a little nervous that's all… What time should I leave? I'm just gonna wall going to school and my mom's going to pick me up…
  • My iphone was stolen. Find my iphone tracked it 15 miles from my house. Should I call police? It happened two weekends ago and I don't think the person ever turned it on until today but I got an email saying it was turned on, lost mode was activated so it locked itself, and it has tracked it to a city about 15 miles away from my house at an apartment complex. I don't think it would be necessary to go there and start knocking on doors. Should I contact police? Its an iphone 4.
  • Is there an iphone app for tracking car miles and gas usage? I drive my friends everywhere and i'd really like an easy way to track the amount i drive to see how much gas money i should ask for
  • IPhone Maps app says my destination is 6,719 miles away when it's just down the street? When I attempt to get directions to any location, my Maps app tells me the destination is over 6,000 miles away. As if I'm traveling across oceans. When the location is less than 20 miles away.so when I go to overview the route, it zooms all the way out to almost an entire world map. Then I have to zoom my way back in to find the directions. Not a huge deal but it is super inconvenient! How do I fix this?
