Is this an electric fault with my charger?

Ok so I plugged my charger into my iPhone and I watched the 5% shoot up to 8%… It's never done that and if it has I've never noticed. I lost the original plug for the lead so I use a different - sony greenheart plug along with the USB lead for the iPhone. The plug had been left on a few hours without my phone plugged- I know it's bad lol so I thought that maybe had something to do with it? Just confused I guess haha

The percentage charge function that detects charge is run by firmware / software on the phone's processor. It is likely when you see a sudden jump up or down that the processor has been too busy or in a power saving sleep state and just updated the screen. This isn't so abnormal with a jump of a few percent. If it repeatedly jumped > 15% one way or another or showed a very quick drain, that might be a sign of trouble or trouble to come. Otherwise, forget about it and just charge the phone;-)

I hope this helps you understand the figures you will see on the phone.

  • Should I buy an iPhone 7 plus or electric drum set? I'm an experienced drummer in high school who wants to get a drum set for at home. I also have an s6 and want to get a new updated phone
  • Rechargeable electric lighter? Airport? I'm wondering if anyone has experience traveling with a electric lighter? I bought one to take home and i can't find any info on how i have to store it or if i'm able to bring it with me. Its not a torch. It looks like a mini iphone with a lock switch and when you slide it down it heats up the circle kinda like the car lighter. I can't figure out if i have to put it in my checked or carry on so any info will help.
  • How would i make a electric toy car? How would i make a toy car that moves with only a Battery from a small clock, an old IPHONE cord and copper wire and cardboard? (it's for a project)
  • Having problems tuning my electric guitar? Right so i've been tuning by ear for the last 10 months or so (E 5th fret open A, ect standard tuning) and recently downloaded a tuner app on my iphone, it works better and the chords sound great but i've noticed whenever I play E 5th fret open A to tune standard (just to double check its still in tune) they all sound completely off despite the chords sounding okay? I'm a bit confused is this supposed to be like this?
