Having problems tuning my electric guitar?
Right so i've been tuning by ear for the last 10 months or so (E 5th fret open A, ect standard tuning) and recently downloaded a tuner app on my iphone, it works better and the chords sound great but i've noticed whenever I play E 5th fret open A to tune standard (just to double check its still in tune) they all sound completely off despite the chords sounding okay? I'm a bit confused is this supposed to be like this?
Sounds like you intonation is way out.
Buy yourself a decent chromatic tuner, plug it in.
The intonation screws are located in the bridge of your guitar.
Tune the bottom E as standard, get the tuner needle bang in the centre, the pluck the same string whilst fretting the 12th fret, if the needle isn't in the centre, then adjust the intonation screw for that string. Repeat with A, D, G, B, then top E. This takes patience and time but will result in a sweet sounding guitar.
- When tuning a guitar do you hold a fret? When you tune an acoustic guitar do you have to hold a fret down while you tune? When i tune to drop c or standard do i have to hold any of the frets or do i leave the strings open while i tune? I have an iphone app tuner if it helps Thanks, I was doing it right then. My high e string never gets picked up.
- Should I buy an iPhone 7 plus or electric drum set? I'm an experienced drummer in high school who wants to get a drum set for at home. I also have an s6 and want to get a new updated phone
- Rechargeable electric lighter? Airport? I'm wondering if anyone has experience traveling with a electric lighter? I bought one to take home and i can't find any info on how i have to store it or if i'm able to bring it with me. Its not a torch. It looks like a mini iphone with a lock switch and when you slide it down it heats up the circle kinda like the car lighter. I can't figure out if i have to put it in my checked or carry on so any info will help.
- Is this an electric fault with my charger? Ok so I plugged my charger into my iPhone and I watched the 5% shoot up to 8%… It's never done that and if it has I've never noticed. I lost the original plug for the lead so I use a different - sony greenheart plug along with the USB lead for the iPhone. The plug had been left on a few hours without my phone plugged- I know it's bad lol so I thought that maybe had something to do with it? Just confused I guess haha
