Is this MacBook Pro good for iPhone programming?
I'm looking to learn iPhone programming and want to use a MacBook Pro with these specs:
13.3-inch glossy widescreen TFT display, 1280x800 resolution
2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
2.0GB (2x1.0GB) PC2-6400 (800MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMM, supports up to 6.0GB
160GB Serial ATA hard disk drive @ 5400RPM
DVD-RW/CD-RW SuperDrive-DL
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB DDR2 shared memory
AirPort Extreme card (802.11a/b/g/n)
Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
Built-in iSight camera
1- Mini-DVI port
2- USB ports
1- FireWire 400 port
1- Ethernet port
Will this work with the current tools that are good for iPhone and iPad development?
It's alright, not ideal though. You might want to consider at least an i5 processor with a better vid card.
I think you should upgrade… My i5 is bearly keeping up with xcode.
- What happens if I plug my iPhone 4 into a new MacBook Pro? I'm about to buy a new MacBook Pro and I want to plug my iPhone into it. The only problem is that I'm worried everything on my phone will be wiped out. If I plug my iPhone into the computer what will happen?
- Thoughts on iPhone 11/11 Pro/Pro Max? I think it's amazing (especially after having an iPhone 8 previously) the best thing about it is the battery life.
- Rsim9 Pro issues can't select carrier. How to reset Rsim9 Pro? I'm trying to use Rsim9 pro to unlock my iphone 5 but i picked the wrong carrier. It won't take me back to the "select carrier" page. How do I reset the rsim9 Pro so I can see this page again?
- Is a mac mini good enough for Programming? Hi! I'm looking in, to purchasing a mac mini in a few months, and i had some questions about it. My main purpose of this mac is for programming (iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Mac app store apps) I also will be using it for Unity, and blender. I will not play alot of games on here Just a couple steam games. And I would like to use Garageband, iMovie, and a few other app store games and apps. Is the Late 2012 $599 mac mini good enough?
