Is this normal for an iPhone 5?

Apple says that the iPhone 5 has a long battery life. But it really doesn't for me! For ex. Every time I use 4G, one percent of the battery goes down every 30 seconds. Also, I left my phone in my school locker for about 3 hours and I went down 30% but I wasn't using 4G or Wi-Fi. I started typing this when's phone was 100% charged but now it is 95%. This literally took me 2 minutes.Am I the only one? Or is apple lying?!

For me it is pretty good, make sure your brightness is down as low as it can be, and turn Bluetooth off. If it is not in use, turn it all the way off, it will take some battery to turn it off but it should save battery in the long run

There are battery issues on iphone especially with the new ones but they can be resolved. These issue occur because the user don't know that there are application that are running on the background even if there not being used or your device is restored as back-up.

Your battery may be having problems because of new features like games online and because your iphone is new so you can't put it down. These drain your battery faster.

here are some things you can do:
>Restart/reset on your device can often fix your problem.
>Let your phone drain totally, at least once a month, till it shuts down then charge it to full.
>Restore your device as new because problems occur with iOS devices is restored as back-up.
>Weak signal can cause switching connections types and drains your battery fast so stay with 3G and turn off your LTE off until your signal is better.
>Plug your device whenever possible. Charge it.
>You have to turn off applications the you are not using because they will just make your battery drain faster. They are the following: Siri's Raise to Speak; Location Services; Push Notifications; Notification Center widgets; and then turn all hungry apps to "jiggly" mode, and kill any apps that might be running in the background.
>Use headphones when listening to sound or playing games or watching videos and turn down the screen brightness and set all data to "Fetch"
>Set Auto-Lock to 1 minute
>Turn off some old standbys as well: any extra sounds (keyboard sound), iPod EQ, Bluetooth when not using it, Wi-Fi when not using it, LTE when not using it, cellular app and media downloads
