Is this true that some iphone versions are losing battery faster than usual or is it just because its old?

If so which iphone or any apple phone version won't lose battery fast

Yea

Yes and no.

It isn't anything to do with the iPhone version, it's to do with batteries degrading. This applies to all phones using Lithium ion batteries. Over time, they degrade which means they hold less charge than when they were brand new.

For example, over a few years, an iPhone battery may wear down to 80%. Which means when fully charged, it is only holding 80% of the charge the battery could've held when it was new.

All of this can be fixed with a battery replacement. Battery life not lasting long? Replace the battery and you'll be good to go

All batteries lose capacity over time and eventually become completely unusable.

Each individual battery has its own lifespan that is determined by
a combination of its original quality of manufacture and how it is treated in use.

Some last so long it seems they'll never fail (but of course they will)
while others go bad much earlier than they really should.

  • Would there be a benefit of having bluetooth 4.0 if some devices use older versions? I have the iPhone 5 which supports BLE 4.0 and also own a pebble watch which also supports 4.0. My car however only supports bluetooth 1.2. Does this mean I will not experience the battery benefits of BLE since I will still need to connect to my car which is on the older 1.2 version of bluetooth?
  • Why is my iPhone battery draining faster than usual? I have it on for an hour and my iPhone 4s has already lost 20% battery I have turned it on and off in hopes of fixing it but it gets worse and worse and no it isn't abnormally hot
  • Why is my Internet slower than usual? I use xfinity Internet and out of the blue my phone gets a tad bit slower is it the modem or my phone? I tried disconnecting reconnecting unplugging Internet and plugging back in I'm on 3G iPhone 4
  • Why has my iPhone been using more data than usual? I have a 2GB data plan that i have never overaged on. I moved to a different state for college, and after using my phone for a couple weeks here, i'm already nearing 4GB of data. I'm not using it any differently, just how i did at home. I used 1 GB of data in a period of 7 hours. Could someone please explain how this is possible? I have spoken to Verizon and Apple, who both were of no assistance. I have fetch completely off, and location services off as well.
