Is your iPhone locked? Why or why not?

No, I have nothing to hide and honestly I find passwords kinda shifty

Unlocked, cuz I like options of diff carriers

Yes, so when someone steals your phone they won't be checking your email and erasing your information, also if you do not lock your IPhone, some people may just play with your phone without people knowing.

Do you mean locked like it has a passcode on it, or carrier-locked?

I don't have a passcode because I never let anyone touch my phone, it is either in my hand or in my pants pocket, and I just hate having to type a passcode every time.

My phone is carrier locked, not unlocked, because I'm on a contract and have no reason to switch carriers.

Mine is not passcode locked and I think I have good reasons why I don't lock it. Since most people like me have their phones with them all the time, it is almost like a second wallet, so you keep it safe as long as it is with you. And if you are like most, that use their phone constantly, you may find it aggravating to have to unlock your phone before you can use it; or, if you use the time delayed feature, your phone will interrupt what you are doing until you input your passcode.

The only time I have used passcode lock on my phone is when I go places or I'm around people that I don't want to get into my phone. But this is easy to do in just a few steps and as soon as it is no longer needed, it is just as easy to disable it.

I do not lock it with a password (yet). I may if I ever have a need to (someone accessing it without my permission) but as of right now it is not password protected.

It is unlocked from the factory, which is generally what locked/unlocked means in regard to phones. Factory unlocked means that it was never locked to a specific carrier and I can use it on any GSM (sim) carrier in the world. Some are locked to a carrier (T-Mobile, for instance) but can be unlocked.

My phone is unlocked because I bought it straight from Apple, because I hate contracts.

I have a passcode set incase someone steals my phone; I don't want them looking through my private data.
