It it worth buying the iPhone 3GS?

I'm currently on the Samsung Toco Lite and I want to buy and iPhone. I can't afford the iPhone 4 and I can just afford the iPhone 3GS NEW from eBay. I was considering getting the Samsung Galaxy Ace but I would prefer and iPhone.
Some people have said that it can't be updated but other people have told me it can be updated to to iOS 6.Is the iPhone 3GS still worth buying NEW.

In my opinion, no apple products are worth buying but if you have to, you could just wait until the 4s is cheaper?

I would buy samsung galaxy ace, its cheaper then iphones.

I'm confused, why can't you buy the iPhone 4 the 3Gs and 4 (not 4s, just the 4) are the same price which is $0.99 for a two year contract and $0.01 refurbished. Yes it can be updated to iOS 6, but the iPhone 4 can't. Any questions ask me

The iPhone 3GS is capable of running iOS 6. (Apples latest and greatest iOS update at the moment is 6.1 and the iPhone 3GS runs that too).
What carrier are you currently using? That would really help narrow the results. How much are you paying for this 3GS?
You can buy an iPhone 4 for 99 cents (with a 2 year Contract) on AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint.
You can also buy an iPhone 4S for 99 bucks (also with a 2 year contract) on those same 3 Carriers.

If you can afford anything other than the 3GS get something else! The 3GS is a very old device bound to be left behind by Apple soon. Also remember that if you're planning to use this 3GS on a carrier other than AT&T you will have to unlock it and will only be able to use it on T-Mobile!

  • Is the iPhone 5s still worth buying or would I wait for the iPhone 6? So I've been iPhone 4 for about a year now and I decided to have an upgrade because it's running so slow on iOS 7:c I'm wondering if the 5s is still new and up to date because the iPhone 6 is coming up and Apple usually buries their older iPhones when two years go by.
