It seems like left speaker on iPhone 4 stopped working?
I just bought this phone a week ago, brand new, out of the packaging/box. I have not dropped it at all and I don't toss it around. I'm very gentle/careful with it!
I noticed that the left speaker doesn't have sound coming out of it? I was playing a game and then had moved my thumb over the right speaker as I was holding it with two hands at the moment and then that's when I noticed no sound from the left speaker. I also don't play music on it, or even have the volume on high ever so it's not like I ''blew'' it or whatever. I don't know. Any idea?
Added (1). Well that's good to know! Lol I thought that's how it was, but a friend of mine told me they're both speakers so I was kind of confused, but now I realize obviously one of the two are used to talk on the phone lol duh. >_< thanks!
Only one is a speaker. That's how all iPhones are.
Sound only come from the one you covered, so don't worry. The other is for phone uses, i'm not entirely sure, but i know that only one speaker is used for music and game sounds.
Thats actualy normal, i'm not sure why but on every iphone i've ever had (including 4) it only had one speaker working, i'm pretty sure its beacuse the left speaker is for calls, and is probably the mic

- Why is my iPhone's left speaker (for sound) not working? I had recently damaged my phone by dropping it on pavement (approximately 3 feet), and it slid about 20 feet. Just today, I noticed the the left speaker on the bottom of the phone is not working. I have a feeling that it's not working because of the impact of the phone falling (I had a snap-on case at the time).Is there any way for it to get fixed without replacing the whole phone? - Why has my IPhone 4S speaker stopped working I've noticed my phone has gone quieter, and I have realised that my left speaker has stopped working! I've only had it for three months! This happened on my old iPhone after having it a year however I was dew an upgrade so didn't think anything of it. Does anyone know why this has happened and if I can fix it or weather ill have to take it to get repaired?
- My iphone speaker has stopped working, what can I do? My iphone speaker apparently has stopped working today. You can barely hear it ring or text message, etc. I tried the q tip in the headphone slot, tried the hair dryer by the speaker and nothing has worked. I've had it for a year and a half now and I have never had an issue. Please help! I have 2 months before I can get an upgrade! I don't live anywhere near an Apple store.
- My iPhone left earphone stopped working? I have the iPhone earphones that shaped to fit in your ear. I was listening to music when all of a sudden, a static noise started coming from the left earphone. Then the music stopped playing in my left earphone, but still playing in the right. I had these earphones for awhile, just recently the external control/mic stopped working. Is there any way to fix this?
