Itunes doesn't detect iphone?

My USB is working fine when i plug in my iphone to my computer, but itunes isn't detecting my iphone. I tried to restore my phone so its saying the thing on the iphone screen to connect the phone to itunes, but when i put the usb in, itunes doesn't load up. It usually loads up automatically

There are only a few possibilities for what could be wrong.

1) There's something wrong with the USB port on your computer, try a different slot or different computer.

2) There's something wrong with your USB cable. Try using a different one.

3) The drivers for the iPhone or iTunes have become corrupted or missing. Try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes.

4) The most likely reason is that there's something wrong with your iPhone. If this is the case, the issue is probably with the charging/USB port on the phone. It may be getting a good enough connection to charge the phone, but not good enough to enable a data connection. This should be covered if the phone is still in warranty or if you purchased or subscribe to some kind of protection plan.

I tried everything listed in Apple website. The cable works because the iPhone gets detected on my Mac and my other laptop.
  • Redsn0w can't detect iPhone? Trying to jailbreak my iPhone 4 (ios 6.0.1) and redsn0w just can't detect my phone what so ever. I've tried it in DFU mode (iTunes detected that it was in recovery mode but still nothing from redsn0w) and not in DFU mode and it still won't pick anything up.   • My iPhone won't detect home Wi-Fi? My iphone only detects my home Wi-Fi when its right next to the router! If i move 5m away or into another room, BAM. Goes back to 3G. This is really annoying. I have tried to forget the network and reset all network settings. They don't solve the problem. Any suggestions or information would help greatly.
