Jailbreak help? I want to update and not lose my stuff
Ok so I'm on 6.1.2 and I'm jailbroken on evasion. But I want to update to ios 7. Can I update from a jailbroken iPhone and keep all songs and applications on my phone and it just takes all my jailbreak stuff off?
Yes. Just make sure that you back up all of your stuff to itunes or icloud before you update.
First, backup your phone to iTunes or iCloud. Next (this is important) register your device's UDID on http://www.instantudid.com/.It costs $5 and they do it instantly. If you don't do this, your device won't be able to activate when you install iOS 7. Next, download the beta from imzdl.com/ios.php, hold alt (or shift on Windows) and click Restore in iTunes, and select the firmware you just downloaded.
- Will I lose my jailbreak and how come I can't update to ios 6? My iPhone 4 is factory unlocked and it's jailbroken.
