Jailbreaking an old iphone 3GS?
My current phone broke and I'm not eligible for an upgrade for a month. What is the easiest way to jailbreak an iphone 3GS (4.0.1) without having to connect it to a computer. Preferably a way that is free as well.

Yes there's a way: Go to jailbreakme.com from your iPhone using Wi-Fi connection and follow the onscreen instructions. I believe the firmware you have on it (4.0.1) is compatible with the jailbreak so you wouldn't need a computer. Just make sure that you will receive Cydia during the jailbreak (it should install it by default).

I have an AT&T iPhone 3GS on 6.1.3 (I know there's no jailbreak for it yet, but I know an untethered is being made) and I have it unlocked to be used with T-Mobile. If a untethered jailbreak comes out for 6.1.3, will my unlock be ruined and not let me use my T-Mobile services? ps. I have it unlocked, not jailbroken, so I don't have cydia
