Just got a new iPhone 4, messages are being sent from email?
I broke my phone so I was sent a new one. After setting it up all of my messages are being sent from my icloud email. When I go into settings and go to iMessage there's an option to change where I would like to send and receive messages. The only option I can choose is my email. There's an option for my number but it is grayed out and I can't chose it. How do I fix this?
Restore it
- PERSONAL iPhone messages being sent to family members? I imessage my friend (who owns an iphone) with my ipad fairly often. However, recently, for some reason, my mother, who owns an iphone and shares my apple ID, has been receiving our personal messages between one another. It's as if apple decided to include her in our conversation without consent. My messages to my friend go to my mom, and my friends messages to me go to my mom. None of us want this. What has happened, and how do I fix this?
- My sent folder is not showing all the emails I have sent. Why is this happening? This seems to be random, with some showing and others not. Since Thursday, nothing I've sent out is in the sent folder. More worrying, on my iPhone, the entire sent folder has been emptied.
- Just cracked my iPhone 5 (just got 2 weeks ago)? Like in the title just cracked the screen and wondering what my next step is? Some say its a free replacement since I just got it. Replacement at the apple store, but I know th warranty doesn't cover this since it is an accidental damage. Very confused and so pissed if I have to pay for a brand new one this is just a few weeks brand new.
- How to stop your messages being sent as iMessages? I may be being really dumb right now but every time I send a text it turns it into an iMessage, which means if the person I send it to doesn't have internet then they won't get it right? I can't work out how to just send a normal text for people who don't have Wi-Fi or iMessage on their phone… (I have an iPhone 6)
