Left IPhone 6 s plus in heat
I left my iPhone on my mower seat while I was cleaning the deck. It was only on there for about 10 minutes and it said IPhone needs to cool down before you can use it. I let it cool down and everything seems alright but I just wanted to know if that could damage the phone or am I just worrying about something stupid thanks.
Heat the phone in the sun, on a dark surface or in a car, can damage the phone, but causing the battery to swell and leak, same for the LCD screen, and once the liquid crystal cells break open and leak, the screen has to be replaced. Excess heat can cause the glass to shatter as well.
Chips inside the phone can fail is over heated for long periods of time, and even shorter ones, there's no one size fits all when it comes to how excess heat or cold can damage electronics.
- Will my iPhone 5 be affected by the heat? My phone will be shipped to my house in about two weeks and I want to know if the heat will affect it if it sits in front of my house the whole day. I do live in Arizona and it still gets pretty hot throughout the day.
