Is a lifeproof case good for snorkeling?
Should I get a life proof free case for my iPhone to go snorkeling? It says it will last up to 6.6 feet deep i don't know how that works but would it last if I go even deeper?
You can go deeper but there's no guarantee that it'll protect your phone from water damage.
Just do what a lit of other people would do. Get a ziplock bag and put your phone in it. Get the one that has the old lock where you run your fingers across the bag to seal it. Don't get the one that has the zipper unless you test it out to make sure it's really waterproof.
You get a WATER PROOF pouch or case, one that is made exactly for that purpose. You want something that is not going to allow water into the case or phone, no matter how deep you are. Pressure is the problem, and any gap, space or loose seal, will allow water to get into the phone, and if that water is salt water, you can kiss your device goodbye, if it is not flushed out and dried out within 12 to 24 hours.
If that case has EVER been dropped, I would not trust it under water. Having been on many trips snorkeling in the ocean, to have people around me complaining about their cases leaking, because some port or seal was unprotected or applied incorrectly.
- Which iphone case is better? Lifeproof OR otterbox armor? I want it to be water proof, drop/crush proof, dust, and cold/snow. I really want it to be thin-ish and water proof. ALSO which one can go deeper in water and take a longer fall
- LifeProof Iphone case opinions please I really want to get a Lifeproof Iphone case, because they claim to be 100% waterproof, which is what I really want! But the warranty from what I understand will not replace your phone if the case doesn't work. I need to know if anyone has tried this case and if it works well, because I don't want to spend $80 on a phone case and have it not work, and break my phone.
- Lifeproof Case w/ Photojojo Fisheye Lens Accessory? I'm an iPhone owner who's interested in purchasing the Photojojo Fisheye Lens Accessory. I would NOT purchase it if I had to take off my Lifeproof iPhone case everytime I wanted to take a fisheye lens picture. Long story short, I'd like to be able to take fisheye lens pictures on my iPhone while keeping my Lifeproof™ case on. Just clarifying, this is the Photojojo Brand Lens Accessory, not the Olloclip. Any help would be appreciated.
- Is the LifeProof iPhone case worth the price? I'm getting an iPhone 4S soon, and I want to get a case to protect it from everyday life. I've been looking into the LifeProof case ($79.99).It looks really great, being shockproof, waterproof, snow-proof, and dirt-proof. But is it worth the price of $80? If not, do you recommend any other case that you think is better for the job than a LifeProof case?
