Lifeproof iPhone 5 screen bubble?

I just bought a LifeProof iPhone 5 case from Best Buy. I put the case on and everything is great except for one thing, there's a bubble underneath the screen protector of it. I had the LifeProof iPhone 4 case and to solve the same problem I removed two plastic strips on the inside of the case. But those strips aren't on the inside of the 5 case. Instead, there are some phone strips bordering the top and bottom of the inside of the case. Can I remove those without losing the warranty on the case and will it help with the screen bubble? I need help!

Hello, I recently purchased a lifeproof case for my iPhone 5. I immediately noticed an air gap between the case and screen of my phone at the bottom of my screen and especially towards the top. It makes it very difficult to type or touch near the top of my screen. I opened up the case and saw that there are foam strips causing this air gap. I considered removing them until I realized there's a raised plastic part that seals the ear speaker portion of my phone. I assumed if I removed the strips this piece would still cause an air gap and could possibly scratch the screen of my phone without the foam strips to cushion it.
I'm very impressed with this product in every aspect other than the previously mentioned issue. This one issue is enough to make me return the case. Please respond with any way we can resolve this issue with a new case or methods on how to fix the air gap problem caused by the foam strips on the top and bottom of the front part of the lifeproof case for iPhone 5
