Light control apps for iphone?
I was wondering if there were any iphone apps available that can control your lights, tv etc and to use them you DON't need to buy some sort off device to go with it. Maybe the app could use the model numbers of things or something:/

The apps need to connect to some hardware that somehow connects to the network.
Some smart TVs and other home media devices that do connect to the Internet or other outside data network may have apps to control them from a phone/tablet.
But for simple lamps or appliances, you need a controller for each that connects to the Internet directly, or to an intermediate network which has a gateway that connects the intermedite network to the Internet, or them made to connect to the Internet directly.
- Things you wish you could control with your iPhone? I'm taking a computer course program thing over the summer so that I can have an extra credit in 12th grade. We have to think of things that we should be able to control using our phones. Things like lights and stuff but I'm completely stuck. Any help?
- IPhone volume control problems? I have an iPhone 4, and I recently realized that when I press my volume up and down buttons on the side, my volume WILL change, but I don't see the volume image on the screen. I didn't know if I accidentally turned off something in my settings or maybe my phone broke? It's just very frustrating that I can't see the volume image.
