Limited connectivity but no Internet connection?
Okay so I've been on my laptop with windows 8 for hours today. I decided to watch a movie from media share to wind down for the night. Everything was working fine. Midway through the movie I wanted to check my social networking sites, so I minimized the tab and went to refresh the pages. But there was no Internet connection. So I reset the modem and it still didn't work. I realized now that it said it was connected to the laptop but had limited connectivity and no Internet connection. I tried multiple solutions I found online and none of them worked. I then decided to go on the family desktop to see if that would work, and it didn't connect either. But my iPhone 3G (no service, use as iPod) can connect to the Internet, and that's how I'm writing this. I don't know how the other laptops are reacting because everyone else is asleep. Does anyone have any solution? I renewed the IP address, I reset 3 other things in the command prompt, I've tried a clean start, among other things. Please this needs to be fixed!
Restart the router.
- Wi-Fi says I have connection but can't connect to internet? On my iPhone and other phones in the house the Wi-Fi says its connected but when I try to access the Internet it doesn't load. I've turned off the router for awhile and turned it back on. It still didn't work then I reset the router and still doesn't. What can I do?
- Why can't i get internet connection anywhere else but on my computer? So i have a netgear wirless router and a arris modem for my computer. All of a sudden, the connection on my phone from netgear was not working so i went on my computer but the connection on it was fine. Right now the connection on my computer is perfect but i just can't get any connection on my xbox, ps3, or iphone 4's. Can anyone please help. This has never happened to me before.
- What does it mean when your internet says connected with limited access? I have a windows vista that's 2008. My house internet went down yesterday so I had to take the plug out of the internet and plug it back in after 10 minutes. Then everything worked but today my laptop says connected with limited access but my iPad internet and iPhone works fine. So what to do? I tried everything on google but it didn't work. We have Comcast Xfinity as our Internet data plan, and I'm wondering if the arrival of our new iPhones took up the limitation of Internet access in our house. Before we had iPhones, we just had three computers and an iPad in our house.So, is it the iPhones that took up most of our Internet connections, and if so, how do you expand the limitation of devices for our Internet connection?
