Wi-Fi says I have connection but can't connect to internet?

On my iPhone and other phones in the house the Wi-Fi says its connected but when I try to access the Internet it doesn't load. I've turned off the router for awhile and turned it back on. It still didn't work then I reset the router and still doesn't. What can I do?

Well sir, I can't help you with your telephone problems. Darn things have changed so much in the last fifty years I can't keep up with them. But I'm pretty good with computers, so maybe this will help. Sometimes if you flip up the latch on the floppy disk drive and take out the disk, then restart your computer, it works again. If you need to put the disk back in to get Wordstar going again, this is the time. Can't say I know why, but it's just one of those mysteries of life, he-he. If that doesn't work, call the Comcast folks and have them come out to fix it. Might take you a week or two to get them to show up, but they probably are busy.

Reset your modem!

If your DSL or cable modem is separate from the Wi-Fi router then reset the modem!

You can be connected to the modem, but if the modem is not connected to the Internet - you will not be able to gain access to it. Power cycle your modem. Check all of the physical connections. If that doesn't fix it, call your service provider.
