Little bit water got into my iPhone 6s speaker and the sound isn't working?

My phone was in my bra as water got thrown at me by little kids, and i took out my phone and the screen was wet so i wiped off the water and it was fine, however the volume does not work. When i insert headphones the volume does work but i need to volume to work. I put my phone in rice and am hoping for the best… HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM?

Hm

The water damaged it, and keeping it powered while there's water still inside is making it worse.

BTW, the rice thing doesn't work. Never has.

Water and electronics don't mix.

Feel lucky that only your speaker got damaged, and not the whole phone.

Putting your phone in rice is a waste of time - the damage already happened, and rice doesn't have magical properties to suck water out of things, nor undo short circuit damage.

Keeping it on might of just helped fry the audio circuitry even farther into disrepair. You shouldof turned it off instantly

YOU ARE ANOTHER VICTIM BY FOLLOWING THE DUMB FOOL WAY BY USING RICE AND EXPECT TO GET RID OF WATER FROM iPHONE.
TOO LATE, DAMAGES WERE DONE BECAUSE YOU LET A WET iPHONE SAT IN RICE FOR LONG TIME AND ALL THE MECHANICAL JOINTS WERE RUSTY WITH DIRTY WATER.
THE PROPER WAY TO FIX IT BY REMOVE THE WHOTE COVER CASE IMMEDIATELY WHILE GETTING WET AND BLOW IPHONE WITH FORCED WARM HAIR TO DRY ALL THE PARTS. NEVER TURN ON A WET DEVICE, THAT KILLING THE DEVICE MORE.

Hi water and electronics just don't mix.

If you end up needing a phone check Nest deal in town they sometimes have them for pretty cheap http://vegashdtv.com

You can try some strong desiccant like "DampRid" in a sealed container with the phone, but make sure it doesn't get on the phone itself as it liquefies.

  • What is the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit in the iPhone 5S? I was wondering what is 64 bit and why does it matter on an iPhone? What makes it different than the iPhone 5 or any other smartphone right now, and should we really care?
  • What happens if you spill a little bit of soda on your iphone? So yesterday, I spilled a little bit of soda on the die of my iphone, but it wasn't really that bad to me. Just a little big on the side, but I don't think anything got into the internal. And now I feel like its running kind of slow, or am I just paranoid?
  • Water got into my bottom iPhone 5 speaker? I was taking a shower and I heard someone call my name so I was playing music on my iPhone and I turned it down and water somehow got into my bottom speaker and now it sounds terrible. What can I do to fix it? Is there any repair stores for this?
  • My penis is a little bit bigger then a iphone is that good or bad? I'm 13-14 years of age and if you are wondering why I'm comparing my penis to my phone it's because i no it's hard to measure so I compared my phone to my average erection and it was just a little bigger (the phone stops a little bit under the shaft) I'm worried that I'm to small for my age
