Looking for a laptop, Apple or Windows?
My whole life I've known nothing but Windows, because of witch I've thought Windows was superior. I knew everything about windows but all I knew (not sure if it's true) Apple laptops can't run.exe files. I want a rundown and the true facts of witch is better. I need a laptop, my PC is on it's last legs and I can't stay home alot and I wouldn't have considered it if not for my new iPhone (iOS 7 is beautiful). And most importantly witch is more affordable. I'm not going to blow all of my money on a laptop.
James says "windows is more secure" lol!
Window's computers would be plenty more affordable then Apple, and in my opinion, i think windows is better then Apple because:
Windows Gives You More Hardware Choices
Windows Provides More Available Software and Games
Windows Has More Technical Assistance
Windows is Easier to Learn
Too many silly questions lately.
Apple computers are expensive. They have a "nice" canned software set, and if that is all you want and have a lot of money to burn, they are a nice choice. They have a better battery and LCD and a good keyboard.
If getting a Windows laptop after comparing to a Mac, you be prepared to spend $700 to $1000 because otherwise, you would not be wasting time asking about a Macbook, that starts at $1000.
Windows has 90% of the software and at least 98% of the freeware.
Windows is NOT superior. It is more versatile to applications.
What are you even asking about.exe files? Those are executable files usually only for software install.
Apple has their own equivalent. None of your software works on a Mac anyway.
There's no "better". And, there are a lot of different Windows Operating system computers. The cheap ones are junk. Better to what criteria?
Set an amount of money, and you can find a Windows base system better than a Macbook.
If you only do web browsing and watch YouTube, Movies and emails and document editing is it worth spending 1000+ on a Mac that a 500 dollar PC can do as well with no issues is a personal preference. I do think Macs are very nice computers but I can't see my self sending 1000+ when I can get same or better specs for 800 or less on a PC but thats just my opinion.
- Looking for a good video editing program for mac or windows that is free? I recorded a song and light show that my friend's band played and that I programed for. I took the video with my iPhone sitting on an elevated box, so it's a still shot of the whole song. I'm looking for a program that I can make the colors a bit richer, make the video a little lighter, and add some kind of filter or effect to the video to make watching the video more interesting before I upload it to social media sites.
- Looking for a calendar app for both iPhone and laptop, besides standard iCal app? IIm trying to find a nice calendar app that can be used between both my laptop (Mac) and iPhone. I need it to be able to be color-coordinated and also to have daily, weekly, and monthly views. Preferably free, but willing to pay a little bit for it. Found one I really enjoy, but between the desktop version and the phone version, it's more than $30 and IIm not sure I want to pay that much.
- I'm looking for a good laptop to buy besides apple? Okay so I have a Mac, IPhone, and IPad. I know you guys are like if you got all that you might as well get a Mac book pro. I was thinking about it but it is way out of my budget I just need something that can go on Internet And play movies because all I'm really going to do is watch anime
