Lost all music on iphone from itunes syncing

I went on my computer and i realized that my itunes library was gone with all my music in it. So i plugged my iphone into my computer and synced it. I thought i could just sync it back to my itunes but my music never showed up! So now all my music is gone from my iphone and my mac! Its so frustrating! Can i do anything to bring my music back?!

Buy it again or download it whatever you wanna do

If you bought "your music", go to that same source (such as the iTunes store) and choose "Purchases".It will be there waiting for you to download it again.

If you got it by "borrowing" it from a friend, call that friend.

If you got it from some website, go to that website.

I'm not sure why this makes people nervous. No one selling music makes you buy it twice.

For the future, here are some thoughts…
- The normal setup is to download things on the computer, and use a hard drive for backup. The phone is a phone; it isn't a hard drive.
- The default setting for syncing is to copy everything from the computer to the phone / iPod. The result should be that nothing is on the phone or iPod except the computer's library of music / movies. Sync comes from "synchronize" from the Greek for "same time".In computer use, it means "same data" or "same songs". That means taking everything from one source (the computer) and making the other device match. It doesn't mean "adding two different groups of things together back and forth to make both of them get bigger".
- Yes, using special software, it is possible to use the phone like a drive (like you thought would happen), but it sure is not the normal setup.

Yeah, there may be no great solution to recovering your lost music. You have to buy them from the iTunes store or download from somewhere else. Be careful in the future. And you had better backup your purchased music to iCloud for a second spare wheel.
