Macbook iCloud/email - possible virus?
So I was having random problems with my MacBook, it keeps freezing during login and when I was just doing tasks - I was wondering if a bug/virus in my iCloud which I used to set up my Mac was possible? I made a new login with a new iCloud and things seem to be working fine, but its difficult having two different emails fro iPhone and Mac?
Macintosh has the best anti virus possible, you don't have to download any virus protection its that good. I suppose you could of got something on a dodgy email but I doubt it. If your really worried about it call the Mac helpline. Don't forget that whatever apps you download will save to your I cloud, you could just have to much on there and be slowing it down. Delete some stuff
No
"MacBook, it keeps freezing during login and when I was just doing tasks"
Daniel, you totally failed. We have NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE ASKING ABOUT!
Star a new question and tell us…
- Which MacBook (2006 white polycarbonate, Late 2008 Unibody, Air, Pro)?
- Version of OS X (10.5, 10.8, 10.11)?
- What is your meaning for 'freezing'? Everything freezes? Everything gets slow? Cursor does not move? Cursor gets spinny?
- Are there other activities for your computer, besides tasks?
"I made a new login with a new iCloud and things seem to be working fine"
Where on the computer can you choose to make a new login? Do you mean that you made a new admin user? That will usually solve the problem of the old admin user doesn't work. Only question I have is, if the old user always froze at login, how the hell did you make a new admin user?
The new iCloud is immaterial. When you change two things, and the issue is resolved, it is because one of the two solved it. There was no need for a new iCloud ID. Nothing about iCloud is related to logging into a user account.
"its difficult having two different emails…"
So just sign out of iCloud and sign in with the old Apple ID. It's just that simple.
If you are concerned about a virus, use Bitdefender to test. It catches 100%. My MBP had 2 infections (it is possible).
A more probable fix would be to reset SMC & PRAM.

- Is it possible to remove a virus from iPhone? I don't know whether I have a virus on my iPhone, there haven't been any signs… However I'm paranoid because I used to be oblivious and go on lots of random websites to watch films/programs while in bed. But now I use my iPhone for online banking so I'm paranoid. Is it possible to check for a virus on my iPhone or it is impossible to know? Thanks Also I don't want to infect my PC because I plug it in a lot to charge it.
- Is it possible to get computer virus on your iPhone if you use it to surf the net? What is the best way to get rid of computer virus on your cell phone? Would it be possible to install a miniature version of Malwarebytes onto iPhone to quarantine/delete computer virus?
- Is it possible to get a virus on the iPhone 4s? Well since it is touch screen I constantly go on websites I accidentally click. I want to know: 1) Is photocaption.org safe? 2) If you don't let a page load could it give you a virus? For example if you click a link and then it begins to load but before it actually shows the page you click back. 3) What is pintrest? My iPhone is not jailbroken.
