Messed up an autograph trying to fix it?

Hi! I know this is really stupid but I recently got an autograph from one of my favorite people. I know I'm never going to see them again so I'm trying to preserve it as best as possible. I had to fix it with sharpie because I got it signed on an IPhone 6s and the sharpie came off like cream on a cake on it because I had a textured phone case rubbing against it. I kind of made some lines of the signature bigger than the others while fixing it and I'm really upset about it because I know I'll never ever get a new one. Is it something I should be upset about? Do you think it ruins the special feeling of getting an autograph? I feel like it's a fake now that I tried to fix it.

I think knowing that that special person signed your phone is pretty cool. That stinks though

I'm sure you willnot appreciate this, but consider how stupid it is to get an autograph on something that you use constantly that's a surface that doesn't hold stains or writing. Your fix is pretty much useless.

It's altered now that you 'fixed' it, and a third-party authenticator will never certify it as genuine. So you'll never get any money out of it. That doesn't change the fact they you know it's real and that you got it yourself, if that means more to you than future value to somebody else.
