Mobile contract ending soon?

Okay so, my friend's contract on o2 ends in 11 days. She had the iPhone 4 and is wondering what happens when this contract is up. Does it just end or are you still charged for your bill? Please, no links and explain it simply. What would she have to do to just end it as she wants a new contract for the iPhone 5 but doesn't want to upgrade.

The end of your contract is the period when you can choose to cancel your phone subscription without an early termination fee, if you do not cancel it then the normal fee will apply

After the contract ends, she will still be billed monthly, but now she can cancel at any time giving the network provider 30 days notice. Sometimes the network provider make contact and offer an upgrade phone, and a new contract just to tie you into them for another 18/24 months, but you don't have to accept it.

It appears from you question you believe that X can get an IP5 and pay the same as, or continue ar the same amount as 'now' wrong.

Each phone contract runs for 24 months to end it you give 30 day notice which you do if you are moving networks to say YODAFONE (advert) or if you don't move you upgrade.

These are a series of contact which are added one after another.
To continue a contract PAST 24 months cost you more as you pay but are not getting a FREE phone.

Sim only contract SOC are cheaper as say X was happy with the IP4 using a SOC reduces the amount of money paid

X can't get a IP5 without upgrading.every phone X gets they have to sign a contract

Note an IP5 on O2 will NOT BE 4G LTE, All IP5 NLY HAVE THE EE 4G LTE 1800 MHZ BAND

AN IP5 WILL NOT BE 4G LTE ON O2 OR VODAFONE JUST 3G as they are not 4G LTE READY (they are not featured in the magazine!)

IF YOU WANT A 4G LTE IP5 YOU HAVE TO MOVE TO TO EE.
The are other factors to consider note the source

Contact O2 and ask for a PAC (enables you to take the mobile # to a new contract.)
Then shop around for the contract you want, give the new people the PAC details and pay any outstanding amount(s) to O2.

If you don't contact o2, they will continue to supply (and charge for) services on their SIMcard/your mobile #
