Mobile Devices and Relay Service for Deaf People (deaf people are encouraged to reply)?

I'm hearing impaired and have an IPhone. If my car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and I need to contact Road Service Help to come, what do you advise me to do? Of course, I will carry my mobile device. Does Relay Service accept text messages?

From a newer iphone yes. Most newer iphones - I think 4s and beyond, automatically convert a text that is sent to a non text receivable number to a landline call. Try it on your phone. 711 service is actually your best bet. Text the relay service you use and see if they reply. They don't mind a test call for this purpose.
