My brand new iphone won't show up on itunes when I plug it into the computer?

I just bought a brand new iphone 4. I want to put my music on it. I signed into my itunes account on the computer and on the iphone. I plugged the phone into the computer, opened itunes, and it doesn't detect my iphone. What do I do?

And please, don't refer me to the Apple support system. I've already tried it, it's useless.

You Need to go to their website and download iTunes.

Update your iTunes with the most latest version.

Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes. If not, download it from Apple.com.

Make sure you have the right cable from your iPhone to your computer. Make sure it doesn't say charge only and you need to find another one without the charge only sticker

Try plugging it into another computer.sometimes that helps too.changing USB ports has worked for me in the past too. Hope it helps
