My CD won't go into iTunes or rip on Media Player?

So I bought a Paramore CD and I wanted to put it on my iPhone so I put the CD into my drive and did what I usually do and upload it, it took for hours to load and when it finally did load it said error on all of them but two and when I play them they were muffled? I thought maybe iTunes is playing up but I loaded another CD onto iTunes and it worked perfectly? So its not my CD drive, to check once again I thought maybe I can rip it on Windows Media Player and when I tried it came up error on all of them and also to just play my CD it didn't play. I tried playing another CD and it worked. I tried it on my stereo to see if the disk was faulty but it worked fine. What I noticed on the CD was around the edges there's a see through is ring ( the same color as the disk) is to to stop you uploading it onto iTunes or they might think your going to upload it onto the internet?

Its probably not in the itunes or windows media file library.
search for it in itunes and if its not there there's your answer

It's probably not an actual 'CD'.

Many are now 'Music Discs' which are not technically CDs, and computer-based systems can't read them properly.

A 'Real' CD will have the 'Compact Disc Digital Audio' logo on somewhere. That will work in any form of CD drive or player (as long as it's not damaged).

Music discs don't comply to the CD standards and legally can't have the CD logo. They are supposed to have a triangle warning logo and they only generally play in basic music-only devices, not computer drives or even a lot of CD changers & car players.
