My co worker uses an iphone only for her photography?
She has her own business and adverts as a professional photographer. Would one be considered a professional photographer if one only used an iphone only for the all photos?
I wouldn't consider them a professional, but that's my opinion…
I do not think it matters about what device one uses but rather the business she sets up. Many people take photos on their mobile devices simply because of convenience and cost. While prof cameras give more options in editing in the moment, I've seen plenty of professional photos that come from mobile devices. I'm not, however, educated in this area so if you want a technical answer, I would refer to an actual photography company.
No definitely not she just thinks she is you can't take professional photos on a phone they all use automatic settings, put it this way if you owned a formula one car that raced itself would you be a racing driver?
Either she's full of s**t or she's using a DSLR you are entirely unaware of. Either way, why is it any of your business?
Technically, anyone who gets paid for their photography is a professional photographer. Once a professional photographer stops getting paid, he or she is no longer considered a professional.
If using her phone is good enough for her, the all the power to her. There are a few instagram photographers making a good living just using their phone. It's not the camera, it's what you do with it that matters most. Just because you use a $6,500 Nikon D5, doesn't mean your photos will be any better. Will they have better sharpness, less noise, and better dynamic range? Of course, but that's not what makes a great photograph great. What does is your decision of subject matter, composition, lighting, technical expertise to control your gear to get the shot that best represents your own personal vision. If that means using a smartphone, the so be it.
Most photographers would agree that due to the extreme amount of limitations that comes with using a smartphone, that it's a rather poor idea to use one as your main (or only) camera. Again, it depends upon what you're doing, and whether you have the artistic and technical skills required to use the camera properly to express your vision. If you don't have those skills, then it doesn't matter which camera or how advanced it is; your photos will still be bad.
Who really cares?
I can't imagine an iPhone being able to cover all the sorts of uses which a pro photographer would have for a camera outfit. But, hey, technology moves on. Note that, by "pro" I mean a person who gets most or all of her income by photography.
Just wait for the first time that she does a job which turns out inadequate simply because of the equipment used. Let us hope that she has a sympathetic client who will not sue her when the photos are disappointing.
To be considered a professional, one simply has to get paid. If she gets paid shooting pictures with just her phone then so be it. She is a legitimate professional.
If she's being paid enough to live on, she's a professional.
And it's nobody else's business but hers and her clients'.
- When will the Apple Store worker call me to pick up my new iPhone 5c? I want to know when will the apple store worker call me to pick up my new iPhone 5c, because the worker told me that I'm getting my old iPhone 5c replace to new iPhone 5c but an different color. Because my old iPhone 5c seem pretty damage and locked so, I'm getting new one. I went to apple store by Monday on Sept 1, 2014. Of course, I was exciting but waiting to get it when whoever call me to pick up. Please answer my question, thank you!
- Verizon worker lied to me about purchases I made I recently purchased a new iPhone case and the lady lied and said they no longer make the otterbox case I normally use. So she told me to purchase the symmetry one instead. So I did, well after getting home I realized that she did not give me the box for the phone case. Now, I want to return the case and get a new one. Will Verizon give me a complete refund? Or will I not because of something an employee did there?
- Should I text her or snap her or not? Ok so this girl I haven't seen in a while texted me out of no where asking if I was going to an event and I responded telling her yeah probably she then responded back saying probably depending on blah blah but then it went to imessage when I texted her twice and no response I think she thinks I stalked her for her number even though I got my contacts transferred from my broken galaxy to my iPhone instead. What should I do?
