My internet connection randomly drops until I disconnect and reconnect to the router?
My internet connection randomly drops until I disconnect my computer from the router then reconnect. It is only the internet connection that drops, the router signal/connection remains and my NAS can still be accessed. Sometimes it goes hours without loosing connection, sometimes it's minutes. I'm using a macbook pro with mountain lion installed, and the same issue occurs with my iphone.
My network set up is essentially the modem > switch > router > laptop/iphone.
This sounds a little different from my problem but I have a iPod touch. For some reason I would loose Wi-Fi when I locked my ipod for about 5 minutes. It only happened on my ipod, not on my ipad or my sisters ipod. I didn't know what the problem was but it was annoying. Even if I played on my ipod nonstop for about 10 minutes I would randomly lose Wi-Fi. I found a video on YouTube showing how to fix my problem and it worked. All you need to do is go to your settings, go to general, scroll all the way down and go to reset, then look for a thing that says reset network settings. Click that and it should restart you're iPhone. I don't know what you're computer will do but it worked for me so… I hoped this helped!
- Why does my internet disconnect for a few seconds and then reconnect? I have had this problem for months now, and I haven't had any luck with fixing it. We have gone through 4 different routers and 2 different modems. I have tired disabling stuff and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. This happens on all devices: ipods, xbox, computer, laptop, iphones. Does anyone know why this is?!
- Why do I have to restart my Dell laptop to reconnect to the internet? I have Wi-Fi internet with Charter but we have a lot of connection problems. My ipad and iphone automatically reconnects as soon as internet if availible again but my laptop has to be restarted for me to get back on the internet is there something I can change in the settings to fix this?
- When will the iPhone 5s and 5c have price drops? I'm looking to get a contracted iPhone, and I would really prefer the iPhone 5s, but the $199 price is a bit high. When do you think they will have price drops? Do you think it would be worth it now to get the iPhone 5c 16gb? Does it increase my Internet speed on multiple devices? I get 50Mb per second, Well at least that's what I pay for. I have a PS3 two iPhones and a tablet, as well as a desktop PC that is wireless. Can anyone recommend an excellent router under $150
