My internet disconnects at random?
I have a modem hooked up to a powerline adapter which goes to the router then my laptop. At random at anytime the internet will just stop then its back on. I'm still connected to my router, when it does it. I thought at first it was my wireless adapter, or I replaced that but still problems. So I replaced the router, but still problems. So I bought a new powerline adapter, and i've hooked up modem directly to the router, but still problems. Oh and this happens on any device even my iphone.Um it seems like it stops working more quickly when I have multiple applications running on my computer.
Log in to your router control panel and enable "keep-alive"
Second place I'd look is a connection of your phone line that goes in to your modem.
Make sure you don't have answering machines/alarms/faxes or anything that would interfere.
3-Try to install filter in to the phone line before it goes in to the modem
Are we talking about DSL or high speed cable modem connected to router?
Nina is right, check to make sure you don't have anything close by causing interference. Cable box, wireless phone, microwave. Sometimes materials in walls and ceilings can case a drastic signal drop ect…
You may be able to change the wi-fi channel within the routers admin section to find a less busy frequency. Try changing your wi-fi signal transmission to wi-fi n only if your system supports it and you don't require the use of mixed mode which provides support for wi-fi b and g signals.
Lastly, you can try using WPA2 with AES or TKIP encryption to secure your wi-fi a bit more.

- Wi-Fi Disconnects on Iphone 4? I'm using my iphone 4 as basically an iPod, because it no longer has service. I have Wi-Fi which i use for texting, etc. Sometimes the internet just randomly stops, but the Wi-Fi signal still shows at the top of my phone. I have to continuously go into my settings app and turn off Wi-Fi and turn it back on. I have tried resetting my network settings. Nothing.
- Where is their a random black dot on my camera So when i take a picture their will be a black dot and when i take one of myself their will be one on my fave. It is really annyoing and i don't know what it is or how to het rid of it. I bought an iphone repair kit to open my back to clean the lens but that didn't work. - Random people texting me what do I do? Today I got a random text from a group that had 2 people in it. They asked me if I was their friend(Jacob) who got a different number. Not only do I not know them I don't know who Jacob is. They are pissing me off because they keep texting me after I told them to stop. I have an iphone 5 and I don't know how to block their numbers. Should I call the cops or have them blocked?
- Random apps appearing on IPhone 4? I have noticed that random apps have been appearing on my phone lately. Not anything suspicious, but I definitely never downloaded them. Just today Iheart Radio just appeared on my phone. The other day it was KiK, I don't even have a KiK. My phone it always on my and locked so no one could be getting in and buying them.
