Random people texting me what do I do?

Today I got a random text from a group that had 2 people in it. They asked me if I was their friend(Jacob) who got a different number. Not only do I not know them I don't know who Jacob is. They are pissing me off because they keep texting me after I told them to stop. I have an iphone 5 and I don't know how to block their numbers. Should I call the cops or have them blocked?

If you don't know the people, don't call/answer back, since it's very dangerous. If they keep on asking information about you, ect, you should probably call the cops. I'd recommend to just ignore them, or if you figure out, block them.

It seems a bit ridiculous to call the police because people are texting your phone. I would just block their numbers.

Do not call Law Enforcement first. There's not much we can do about it except maybe call the person and ask them to stop and that's if they even answer the phone. Call your cellular service provider and have their numbers blocked. Most service providers do it for free.

Have them blocked. I wouldn't reply if I were you. Call the phone provider. Like I had a Blackberry from T-Mobile and I called them and they sent me to a website to sign up for a account which would let you block numbers.

I have an Android phone, I can make a "Black List" of people for my phone to block.
For most phones, you add the person to your contact list, then choose an option that blocks them.

If they keep it up, yes, call the cops.

Just have them blocked. That should stop all their text messages from coming through.

Or you may also look up the sender's number at http://www.callercenter.com, just so you have an idea who's sending you the messages. It's free service anyway.
