My iPhone 4 continuously lags after jail breaking, what do I do?
I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1. I used absinthe 2.0.4 to do the jailbreak. After the jailbreak I soon noticed lagging in my system as well as apps taking anywhere for 30 seconds to 3 or 4 minutes to successfully opening without fail. I managed to delete Cydia and it still lags. I've factory reset it and it still lags, what do I do?
Restore with itunes and remove the jailbreak.
Haha, my friend the issue is not the jailbreak but the OS itself. Apple made 5.1.x a huge memory hog, the OS takes up most of the ram while idle, which leads to issues when it has none spare for apps. My iPod 4g is a sluggish mess even stock on 5.1.1.
If you plug the phone back into iTunes, wait until it's recognised and then restore it with the default firmware. You'll lose the jailbreak but hopefully it should speed the phone back up again. If you want to try again you can always re-jailbreak it.
- Why does my apple cable keeps breaking and how to prevent it from breaking? I had this broken cable for my iPhone I had it for 9 months and it's broken so I bought another one last Saturday and I saw this message again and I only had it for 2 days why does it keep breaking and how do I prevent it from breaking? I want my cable to last for long
- What does jail breaking an iPhone mean? I've just had this as an answer to another question, but don't understand it. It's not the same as unlocking your phone to all networks is it?
- Ups and downs of jail breaking your iPhone? Me and my brother are thinking of jail breaking out phones. But what are the pros and cons of doing this before I do it?
- Unable to activate iTunes after jail-breaking iPhone? I have jailbroken my iPhone 4 and it has the latest version of IOS on it. I have backed it up with iCloud and now I want to join it onto iTunes but the message that comes up is; 'There's no SIM card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate.' So it does not let me see the data on it and put music on it.
