My iphone 4s is stuck in recovery mode?

I went to update my phone, when it started restoring it an do got the error 21 saying it couldn't continue so now my phone is stuck in recovery mode and keeps randomly turning on and off, but only ever showing the iTunes symbol and cord screen. I updated my iTunes in hope to try and fix the error 21, and now my phone won't register into iTunes at all.

Try reinstalling iTunes.
Enter device into DFU mode (hold home and lock button simultaneously for 10 whilst device is plugged into computer).
Manually download *latest iOS 7* version (felixbruns.de), SHIFT-click-restore in iTunes, and select the.ipsw file.
If you are trying to update to iOS without Developer account, then it will not work.

1/Disconnect your iphone from your computer. Hold down the power and home button again for 20 seconds, or so. Then, a silver apple logo will appear.
2/ let go of ONLY the power button (keep the home button pressed) for about 5 seconds.
3/let go of the home button and let my phone sit. In about 20 seconds, your phone came back to life.
