My iphone 5 died and won't turn on or charge?

I was on it and it was working fine. It died and I didn't plug it in until a few hours later. The screen just stays black and will not charge or turn on. I don't have a working home button so I can't "reboot" it. What do I do?

Try holding down the home button for 10-15 seconds. If that doesn't work, then hold down the power button for 10-15 seconds. If that doesn't, hold both for 10-15 seconds. If that doesn't, sorry

I'm in serious pain rn, please help me, I have no iCloud and all my pictures got deleted and are gone from my iPhone 6.   • My iphone died and it won't turn back on? It died last night and I put it on the charger and nothing happens not even the battery symbol comes up. I do have the iOS 7. I can't restart it because my home button doesn't work and i have to use assistive touch. It won't show up on itunes when i tried to plug it in. So my iPhone 4's battery recently died and now whenever I try to turn it on it shows that no battery thing even if its been plugged in for 2 days! My friend says this has happened to her and it was so much out of battery that it was actually dead and never reopened!   • Iphone battery died during latest update now phone won't turn on? I have iphone 3gs. I got a system message to say an update was available so i said yes to the update however my battery must have died during the update which wasn't completed and now my phone won't turn on. I have plugged it in to charge and the apple icon appears then disappears, then appears and disappears again. I have tried holding both the buttons to power on/off/restore but doesn't seem to work either. Anything ele i can try before going to the apple store?
