My Iphone 5 fell in water two days ago
So basically my iphone 5 fell into water two days ago but I fished it out in about 4 seconds. I was being really stupid and did not switch it off, and instead used it like usual. Once the power died, my phone didn't turn back on obviously. I wanted to take it to the apple store but decided to put in rice first. I put in about 24 hours after the incident, and its been about 24 hours since then. I tried turning it on, and the lighting charge symbol comes up, but when I plug it into the charger it does not work. My computer does not recognize the device either. Help please? I have a warranty, but I'm pretty sure water damage is not covered. My biggest fear is that all my pictures will be deleted, as I have not synced my phone in atleast six months (stupid, I know). If it makes the situation any worse, those pictures include two vacations and a picture with my recently passed grandmother, friends and my crush D: Any help will be appreciated. My phone is still in that bag of rice. How long until it's definite that it's not coming back?
P.S. I shined a flashlight on the side of my phone (sim card slot area) and there's no pink/red light indicating water damage. So that's a good sign I guess?
I always was told to put it in rice if it falls in water… But not sure about an iphone

- My iphone is water damaged, and the incident happened about a month or two ago? So if i were to try to fix it right now by blow drying it and by putting it in rice for a few hours, would there be a chance that it would work?
- Iphone 4 fell in water.left in rice 3 days.backlight turns on nothing else? Had phone in pocket and went in ocean. It was fully submerged.waited an hour and got rice.left it in for 3 days, then turned it on and didn't work.took battery out and left in for 1 day then let it charge or 10 mins and turned it on. The apple logo came on and flickered and vibrating pulse couple of times then did not come on. What should i do?
- Iphone 4 fell in pool. 3 weeks ago? Ok, so my friend dropped his iphone in the pool, but he did not know about putting the phone in a bag with rice. He said he did not turn it off right away. It's been 3 weeks since then, and I'm wondering, is it just done for? Yesterday he said while trying to charge it, it went to the lock screen for a second. He ended up giving it to me, since he got a new iphone.i'm sure its done for, but is there anything I can do to make it work?
