My iPhone 5 is frozen, how to fix? READ THE DETAILS?
My IPhone 5 has frozen itself. It's not frozen on some app screen, it is frozen on my home screen background ( so no apps are on the screen, neither the time or batter power). My on/off button is working, but it does not work to restart my phone. I've tried using siri, it just pops up, does it's noise and returns me to the screen it was before. I've used the apple headphones and have managed to get music going from the little remote-like thing on it, but that's as far as its letting me go. It froze after I took it off its charging chord and tried to open facebook. When I opened facebook it froze and I tried to get back to my home screen. When I got to my home screen, that's when it got to the state It is in now. (Wmur and other apps have been giving me the notification sound). Please elaborate me on how to fix this problem?
Added (1). Should I try killing the battery? (Using it up and then plugging it in)

Hold in the power and the home button for about ten seconds or until it turns off. This will have the iPhone go into a hard reboot which fixes most issues. If this doesn't work, call apple or take it to the apple store
You may already have tried this but just in case:
Press and hold the power button on the right side of the phone. A message should pop up saying "Slide to Power Off". So you slide that and the phone will go through the motions and turn off completely.
Once that happens, give it a minute or two, then press and hold the power button again until you see the Apple logo glow on the screen. The phone will usually reboot itself to the last stable version of all the apps.
If that does not work, my only suggestion would be to take it to the geniuses at the Apple Store to have them take a look.

We have an iphone 4 If its because its jailboke my sis iphone isn't jailbroke and it does that Oh and i already tried double clicking the home button and deleting the background apps and still does the same thing.

The phone still has her sim card though and i have t mobile prepaid and want to switch my service to the iphone can i do that? Do i have to unlock it?
- Is there any app for tracking my iphone if it gets stolen? Read Details? Like if someone steals my iphone at school i can go on the website and track it, find EXACTLY where it is so i can go to the place and get it back? Oh i do have Find My iPhone on, but one time when my dad took it to the store and didn't come back i got on the icloud web and to see where my iphone was to see where my dad was and it was worthless!
