My iphone 5 is not receiving messages?
I found out that when I go to settings then on to messages that iMessage needs to be activated which is strange because I've used it on my iphone which I've had for nearly a year so I put my Apple ID in then it works for a bit then just goes off again. Help me please is it my phone or my provider?

If it's just iMessages you're having trouble with then it's not anything to do with your provider.iMessage works via Wi-Fi, all you need is an Apple ID, not a SIM card. You could have an iPod & be able to use iMessage.
Anyway, the problem you're having could be due to the software upgrade (assuming you've upgraded to ios7). Lots of people have had problems with iMessage since the upgrade, hopefully another upgrade will be released with a bug fix for this issue.

- Why am I not receiving text messages because of iMessage? When I have my iMessage on, I'm not receiving texts from my iPhone using friends who have their iMessage OFF. But if I turn my iMessage off, then I don't receive texts from my friends that have their iMessage ON. Is there a way to fix this? Is there a way I can receive texts from everyone while my iMessage is on, regardless if their iMessage is on or off?
- One Person Not Receiving Text messages? So I have an IPhone 6 and he has an android and out of no where he stopped recieving my texts. I get all of his messages but he can't receive mine. I've tried restarting my phone, and re entering the contact but nothing worked.
- Not receiving Textfree messages on my iPhone 5 I know many people who use Textfree as their main texting service. I've had the problem with not getting the messages they send. I can send and they go through but I never get theirs. I'm using iOS 6.1.4 if that makes a difference. I have been able to use Textfree on my iPod in the past and my old phones would receive the messages, it's just my iPhone that it hasn't been working on.
