My iPhone 5 is not recognized by my computer running Windows Vista?

I mistakenly (stupidly) disabled some startup programs to speed up my computer and now my iPhone doesn't get recognized when I plug it into the USB port.

I've tried restoring the computer to before this all happened, enabling the startup programs, uninstalling iTunes/reinstalling iTunes, rebooting, etc etc etc.

I can't get the computer to recognize the iPhone. When I go to the Device Manager, all I get under USB Ports is "Unknown Device". It's not showing up under Portable Devices the way it should.

Help! I want to sync my iPhone with my music on my computer and can't!

Whenever i plug my usb cable into the computer and then my 3 generartion iphone it just says that it's not recognized and that it has malfuctioned and the only way to fix it is to replace it? Any help would be greatly apreciated it still charges but doesn't show in itunes. And every 10-20 seconds it makes that noise when you plug in your phone and sometimes when you disconnect

This used to import all photos and videos on my iPhone. Then I got a 4S and this still happened, but it would only import the photos, not the videos. Now I'm not even getting the dialogue box. How do I transfer my files please?
